Confucius says: Everyone eats and drinks; yet only few appreciate the taste of food.
My writing just like my food tends towards the experimental - so this review comes to you in pithy twitter style
The Dubai-based Tasty Tangles reminds me a bit of All Stir Fry at Gordon House - but minus the DIY wok (a little disappointment) plus a DIY tick-your-choice menu (a little redundant for a la carte)

What was brilliant: The wasabi prawns (Rs. 379) with an excellent pink tangy sauce and the wok fried seafood in X0 sauce (Rs. 399) just packed with prawns and squid and scallops oh my!
What was interesting: what they call wet noodles - a curry laksa with prawn (Rs. 199) - a bit like Khow Suey but we were really just won over by the massive prawns proving that size does indeed matter
What was debated: the Asian veg steamed buns (3 for Rs.169) - the filling was definitely scrumptious but the spongy exterior may not have cut it. The sweet and sour pork (Rs. 499) with Jasmine steamed sticky rice (Rs. 149) reminded me a lot of Chinese take out in New York - but may not sit well with those accustomed to the Indian take on sweet and sour sauce. The pork itself was very well done - flavorful and succulent
Grouses and gripes: the waiter didn't appear to know the menu too well - insisted the rice portions were too small for 4 people and refused to accommodate when two massive bowls arrived at the table
A note on the alcohol: not a single Indian wine on the menu - methinks such a top shelf liquor selection doesn't really compliment the casual food and ambiance
Final Verdicts: All-in-all yummy food – check; value for money – check; authentic Asian food – well, I wouldn't go so far; a good place for a well priced casual meal - definitely.
The damage: Rs. 2158 for 4
Food: 3.5
Service: 3
Ambiance: 3
